About The Book
Is there a large chest of diamonds and fine jewelry
still hidden in the port town of San Pedro, California?
Did San Pedro’s most influential pioneer and philanthropist,
Rudecinda Sepulveda Dodson (1858-1930), leave a series of clues leading to it?
In the 1970s, local folklore and rumors began that she intentionally
left two chests hidden and when her chest of collected gold pieces was discovered in the late 1980s, that discovery solidified the rumors to be true.

This book takes account of the various stories, history, interview compilations, clues, and theories collected over the past few decades of the mystery
that shrouds Rudecinda, how her gold chest was discovered,
and what happened to the remaining chest.
Was it discovered?
Is it still hidden somewhere in San Pedro?
What clues are out there?
